The job.

The Events Marketing Manager will lead on the marketing planning and strategy for With’s portfolio of operational and gaming events, ensuring that attendee and award entries targets are consistently exceeded.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of each event, contribute new ideas and foster collaboration between departments. They will also work closely with the commercial team and provide marketing support to ensure that sales targets are exceeded, and sponsor objectives are met.

They will manage a team of marketers and be responsible for helping them to meet their objectives and provide ongoing training and coaching to ensure that they reach their full potential.

The Responsibilities.
  • Developing and implementing marketing campaigns for all operational and gaming events

  • Managing and mentoring of a team of marketers

  • Leading the planning process for each event, ensuring collaboration and communication across all departments to ensure a successful launch that is delivered on time

  • Devising, implementing and managing strategies to increase conversion of prospects and return of attendees

  • Collaborating with other departments to develop and grow the events portfolio

  • Identifying and actioning new opportunities to drive marketing best practice and innovation across the portfolio

  • Ensuring all design assets met brand guidelines and copy fits tone of voice

  • Leading on projects to ensure that events marketing systems and processes are being utilised effectively and embedded within the team

  • Proactive database development to support individual marketing campaigns and long-term audience development

  • Carrying out post event research and analysis for each event and circulate a post event marketing report to key event stakeholders

  • Utilising content-based marketing to drive new leads and engagement with events

The requirements.
  • Evidenced experience within a B2B events environment

  • Proven people management skills

  • Understanding of customer segmentation

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a schedule-driven, fast paced environment

  • Strong experience of using databases, developing personas and customer segmentation

  • Pro-active and able to problem solve independently

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills

  • Commercially focused, and able to bring new ideas on board

  • Able to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
